Most dried pineapple on the market is made from whatever variety is cheapest, then drenched in added sugar and sulfur dioxide to compensate for bland flavor. Our Artisanal Dried Rings start with MD2 Gold pineapples — the sweetest, most aromatic variety grown — sourced directly from our partner farms in the Philippines. We slow-dry each ring at low temperature over 18 hours, a process that gently removes moisture while locking in the fruit's natural sugars, enzymes, and bright tropical flavor. The result is a chewy, golden ring with an intense pineapple taste that no sugar-coated competitor can match. Each ring retains active bromelain, the digestive enzyme unique to pineapple, along with a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals. This is dried fruit the way it should be — honest, simple, and absurdly delicious.
